EC 85 Lax 70
Like clockwork, I pick EC to lose and they go out and beat the crap out of Lax. Dan Beyer finally had a big game like he is capable and the Golds shut Tony Mane down. I think I was fooling myself a bit when I thought Lax could be a good team without their floor leader, Brandon Brown. His loss is hurting them more than anyone is willing to admit. Nice win for the Golds and they are looking like they will be a conference tourney team.
WW 88 Sup 73
I have to give Sup credit for keeping this one respectable even though they played without three of their best players: Hill, Manor, and Culy. Jake Smith kept the Jackets breathing, but WW just has way too much fire power. That road trip from Sup to WW must be boring to say the least. That is a 3-4 movie trip for sure.
StP 80 Osh 70
Osh actually led this game at the half, but then the Pointers proceeded to out shoot the Titans 52% to 38% in the second half. Sharpshooters, Pete Rortvedt and Matt Miller were a combined 5-24 from deep, ouch.
The 'Ville 55 St 51
Who expected this to be the game of the day? I certainly didn't. PVegas almost had to burn his new Jeff Skemp poster. Wow, Stout had a legitimate shot to win this game. Alex Mason had two costly turnovers at the end of the game which ultimately cost Stout the game. I watched this game on the TV stream from Stout and it looked like Stout played hard for the full 40 minutes. They stepped up their defense and made things hard on The 'Ville. Nice job by the Devils and no one will be able to take them lightly from here on out.
