The 'Ville advances thanks to a thriller of a game. I was watching live stats and I was almost nervous watching the numbers pop up on the screen. That must have been a fun one to see. WW will now have to wait with their fingers crosses that St. Thomas beats Bethel and hope the tournament committee is kind to them.
StP, on the other hand, seemed to have little trouble with the Titans.
Can The 'Ville beat the Pointers twice in a row at Point? I think that is too much to ask. I'll take the Pointers.

...not that it will matter much in regards to the NCAA tourney. a W in this game is just for bragging rights. I'm headed to this game as part of a traveling caravan of the UWP student section, and it should be a fun one. I also see StP coming out w a victory, but hopefully this matchup won't happen a 4th time until deep into the NCAA playoffs.
as for The 'Ville vs UWW, it was quite a game. even without a packed house, it was as loud as I've ever heard that gym get, during the last minute of regulation and up until the end of overtime. we started a 'we have homework' cheer during the overtime because it looked like neither team wanted to quit. Skemp should give a free ride on the bus to Eric Wall and Mike Shaw because of the way they played. Lohoff had to come out twice because of ankle cramps, which we found out later led to a ride in an ambulance for emergency fluids. Sure sounds like this team means business, doesn't it?
This game may not have mattered either, with potentially WW and The 'Ville already locked for a NCAA bid, but you can't say they held anything back.
UWW, UWSP, and The 'Ville better be put in different corners of the bracket.
