My apologies for being no where to be found over the past week. I picked up the awesome flu bug that has been going around like wildfire. Every time I sat down and tried to write something nothing seemed to flow. I felt like I had writer's block with a case of ADD on top of it. So let us get caught up.
I went to Point last weekend and had a nice time watching Point take care of business against the Jackets. There was one time during the game where I was completely mesmerized by Point's ball movement. It was just so neat to watch. Every pass was crisp and right on the money.
Superior played well and didn't just roll over and let Point beat the hell out of them. They kept battling and made the game interesting for a while.
WW avenged their loss to The 'Ville and in the process set Point up, nicely, to win yet another conference championship. Point will look to continue their undefeated dominance in WW this weekend in what should be an outstanding game.
RF and Sup have a fun little race for the last playoff spot going on. It will be fun to see how that plays out.
Prediction time.
StP over WW
WW is good at home and they are going to be damn tough to beat. I just think Point plays too good together and they will cause some problems for WW. With Hurd playing like he is now, Point has such a well rounded team where all 5 players can hurt you bad. Pointers in a nail biter.
RF over Osh
Osh will like nothing more then to beat down the Falcons who beat them earlier in the year. Osh is playing better ball as of late, but RF is hungry to get into the playoffs. Falcons in a season sweep of the Titans.
The Ville over Sup
Sup is right in the thick of the playoff hunt, but their last two games are against The Ville and Osh, both teams will be tough to beat. I think the Jackets can beat Osh, but they won't beat The Ville coming off a loss to WW.
St over Lax
I have yet to pick Stout, so I need to show them a bit of love here. They are much improved and Lax is in a major tailspin. Both teams will be outside looking in come playoff time.
